New Zealand Fashion Week or Weak?: Ellen on the atmosphere of fashion week.

"So soon as a fashion is universal, it is out of date."

- Marie Von Ebner-Eschenbach

New Zealand Fashion Week.

Over this past week New Zealand Fashion Week has earned the nickname "New Zealand Fashion Weak". After it was announced that the list of designers for this years shows did not include the likes of Karen Walker and other popular NZ designers, the expectations for Fashion Week fell.

So walking into the Auckland Viaduct Events Center, Our hopes for Fashion Week weren't that high.

New Zealand, Auckland is no New York or Paris, but we still rocked up early, eager to give our own opinion on "fashion weak".

Over the next couple of days look for our stream of posts on fashion week shows.

First of all here are some shots of Erin and I (Ellen) out and around the Viaduct. Do you think our outfits are Fashion Week worthy?

The Atmosphere of Fashion Weekened.

The main thing i wanted to talk about in this first post about fashion week is the atmosphere of NZFW.
Like i said, it was no Milan or Paris fashion week. All around me i spotted girls in jeans and t-shirts. People looked like they had just rolled out of bed and put some heels on, but these un-bloggable outfits only made the true fashionistas stand out in the crowds even more!

Here are just a few of the girls Erin and I snapped a photo of.

We loved all these girls skirts!

Everywhere we turned, impeccably dressed girls and woman flooded the room.
I just loved walking around the room, checking out everyone elses outfit, secretly admiring their shoes or handbag.
In my opinion, the fashion shows may not have been the best, but the kiwi girls certainly did show off some ahmazing fashion off the runway.

What do you think?

Comment, Follow, Stay tuned for more posts on NZFW,

xoxo
