New York Fabric & New Zealand Made

My entire family loves watching Project Runway, even my Dad gets into it. When my Auntie visited New York, she brought back Tara and I a piece of fabric each from Mood, aka the famous fabric store in Project Runway. My sewing skills aren't quite up to scratch yet, so I had to get mum to help out with this one, but we ended up using the fabric to make this beautiful dress. We actually made it last year for Christmas, but I have worn it so many times since. Funnily enough, it has yet to feature in its own blog post so when I found this old outfit photos hidden in the depths of our hardrive I decided to put together a post to share.

If you watched my 'Birthday Get Ready With Me' video you would have seen this dress pop up, but here it is in daylight haha! I really love how versatile this dress is, I have worn it dressed up on many occasions. But for this look I styled it with a trench coat and flat shoes to give it a more everyday feel.
