How to Look Cool in Winter

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but winter is coming. It's not all bad though, because with a change in season comes a fashion refresh. I'm personally a big fan of winter, not only because it means the ski season is here, but also because I love to layer clothes. It can however be a challenge to look cool in winter when you are bundled up in jumpers and coats, so in this post I'm sharing my top tips for looking stylish in winter.

1. Oversized knits

There is nothing cosier than a chunky oversized knit. It's a very versatile piece to have in your wardrobe that can be dressed up or down. Style tip: wear it with skinny jeans or tight leggings to balance out the oversized shape.

2. Statement Jacket

A bad outfit can be transformed with one jacket. If you are only wanting to buy one new thing this winter, treat yourself with a nice jacket. I find outerwear is the first thing you see and leaves a lasting impression - so make it a good one!

3. Try Tights

Don't limit yourself to jeans this winter, try wearing tights to mix up your outfits. Whether you're wearing a skirt, dress, or an oversized knit, tights will keep you warm and stylish.

4. Colourful Accessories

My winter wardrobe always tends to be very monochromatic. A good way to mix things up is to add a pop of colour with a bright accessory.

5. Heeled Ankle Booties

To me there is nothing classier than a pair of heeled black ankle booties. They instantly transform an outfit by giving it a more polished and professional look. I was particularly drawn to this pair because of the interesting cut-outs and chic pointed toe.
