5 Tips for Decorating your 'Pinterest' Worthy Home
Earlier this week we attended the launch of the new season autumn/winter homeware range from The Warehouse. It was one of the coolest events we've been to in a while and the Pinterest vibes were so strong. We took what felt like a million photos of every pretty thing in sight (which was a lot), so we decided to share the photos alongside our top five tips for creating a Pinterest worthy pad.
1. Find the perfect duvet
When it comes to the bedroom, I think the most important thing is the bed. It really dominates the room so it is important to have the right duvet cover. If you are completely redecorating this is also a great way to start with a colour palette and patterns, then you can build your room from there.
2. Marble Accessories
One huge homeware trend this season is marble. Marble lights, marble plates, marble placemats, marble pillows and just MARBLE EVERYTHING. It is the new 'it' material. Trust us. Go buy something marble stat, you will have no regrets.
3. Geometric Vibes
Who knew a triangle could bring so much style to a room? Geometric shapes are everywhere on Pinterest at the moment, even on the furniture. Whether you go for something large like a side table, or a more subtle tabletop accessory, this is a great to 'Pinterest up' a room.
4. Embrace Neutrals - The Scandinavian Way
Scandinavian style has really taken off and my Pinterest is always flooded with pictures of the perfect minimalist neutral homes. Don't make the mistake of thinking a neutral home is boring though! Play around with pattern and texture and mix in some metal, wood and faux animal fur. In my opinion these living rooms are anything but boring.
5. Rose Gold Everything
My final tip for this post is just buy everything in rose gold. Everything. I am unsure how long this trend will last, but I am obsessed with it. Much like the marble trend, there is a endless list of items you can buy in rose gold. In fact, you can even combine your rose gold with your marble for the ultimate Pinterest look. You can also combine it with the geometric trend; see this gorgeous terrarium below!
That's it for our Pinterest decor tips. I wonder how many times I wrote 'Pinterest in this post? Probably too many.
