New in: favourite nail polishes

"I wear nail polish to hide how grubby my nails are" - Caroline Corr

Recently a few new nail polishes have come into my possession, and boy do we have some winners here! I am a little bit of a nail polish hoarder, but recently my all time favourite brand OPI has been leaving me disappointed. All my OPI colours are separating and I'm having to do at least three coats with brand new polishes to get decent coverage. So I decided to share my two new favourite collections from Maybelline and Revlon so you guys don't have to go through the pain of buying polishes that don't do the job.

Maybelline Forever Strong Super Stay Gel Nail Colour 7 Days

First off, can we take a moment to appreciate this colour? I usually struggle with pastel shades like this as I find them lacking in opaqueness and requiring at least three coats. However I was amazed to find with this polish, you could almost getaway with ONE thin coat. In terms of chip time, I don't think it lasts a full 7 days as advertised, but it certainly does a good 4-5 days. I only have the one colour that I got in a goodie bag from a launch party, but I certainly will be picking up a few more shades.

Revlon Colour Stay Gel Envy

These polishes were gifted to me by my lovely blogger friend Leonie. Much like the Maybelline colour, all you need is one coat of these and your good to go! Their dry time is pretty average, but a quick look down at my toes shows minimal chipping after a whole week! I love the blue colours pictured above, they are my ideal kind of glitter nailpolish; nothing too chunky and good solid coverage.
