Review : Morgan Taylor Professional Lacquer
"No one likes getting their nails done more than I do" - Serena Williams
When a model hits the runway at Fashion Week, everything about her is scrutinised. It's not about a single piece of clothing, its about the look from head to toe. Or should I say head to fingernail? Fashion week is the origin of a lot of trends in nail art. In 2013 at NYFW, a new brand of polish made a splash on the catwalk; "Morgan Taylor". The brand is centered around the idea of testing the boundaries of colour, texture, and finish; while still creating a product of outstanding professional quality. The young brand is now available in a small selection of salons in New Zealand which is super exciting! We headed along to an event this week to get our nails done by the lovely Monaco Nails team (aka the distributors of MT professional polish) and pick a Morgan Taylor colour to try.
Morgan Taylor Professional Polish : 'Lip Service' and 'Mint Chocolate Chip'
The verdict: One thing that stood out about the Morgan Taylor polish was the expansive range of colours. It was like a nail polish junkies dream. We were both drawn to their powerful range of pastel colours. In comparison to our OPI and Essie colours, it only took two coats to achieve the perfect coverage. With some of our other brands of nail polishes, the lighter colours put up a fight and require more coats. Sales of Morgan Taylor will be available through Monaco Nails and approved salons nationwide to ensure the on-going integrity and high-end market placement of the brand. Despite this, a bottle of Morgan Taylor will cost you no more than OPI, priced at $24.95 (NZD). It's a thumbs up for us!
