What to wear to a concert...

"Live life for the moment because everything else is uncertain"
- Louis Tomlinson

So the other night we risked future hearing problems to attend the concert of five gorgeous British boys with (actually) great voices. We had a great time and thought it would make a good post about what to wear to a concert. Now for those of us that can't afford to go to concerts willy nilly, it's going to be a band/artist you really like and will want to enjoy the experience rather than being annoyed by your outfit choices (at least that's how we feel). So before the concert we discussed what we were going to wear not only fashion wise but also items that were suitable for a night of singing, dancing and general excitement.

#1. cool comfy tops
both of us went for t-shirts as it can get pretty hot dancing along and with so many people around. You want to keep
cool and not have to worry about your top falling down, so a t shirt is a great option

#2. something warm for after
if you're going to an evening concert you are going to want something warm to put on when you come out (and
maybe on your way there). Ellen had a good idea to tie her jumper around her middle so it added a cool accessory
while not in use, while I (Tara) went for a leather jacket, warmth and a bit of an a compensatory cool factor.

#3. shorts
Ellen and I are both fans of wearing shorts to concerts. On one hand they keep you cool in the heat, and on the
other they are great if you do plan on bustin' a move and don't want to flash anyone.

#4. flat shoes
Finally we finished off the outfits with flat shoes. Since we were walking down to vector arena from work we
wanted to have shoes that were practical. Also, even though the concert had allocated seating, we knew everyone
(except maybe the parents) would be standing and didn't want to be 'those girls' that are tottering around with
sore feet.

Ellen: | Tara:
bisous tshirt - topshop | top c/o lookbookstore
shorts - general issue | shorts - made by me
jellies - factorie | shoes - novo shoes
jumper - cotton on | leather jacket - just jeans
                                                 | arrow necklace, bag - glassons

We had a really fun time on Sunday, our ears are still almost ringing from all the screaming. We also happily discovered our seats (though 1 row from the back) were actually pretty good for cheap seats as they were high but kinda close to the stage; score!

There aren't any set rules for what to wear to a concert; you can wear whatever you'd like (and it would also dependon who you were going to see!) But we thought having some ideas would always be useful, especially if you are feeling lost like we were the night before! Hopefully this post helps!

PS. Tara is sorry for her social media feed spamming around the time of the concert (if you follow her haha) it was a long awaited event!
