What to wear : Modern day tea party
"Where there's tea, there's hope."
- Arthur Pinero
Last week I was on school holiday, still blissfully unaware of the assignments and deadlines I am
now swamped with. So with some free holiday time to play with, I hosted a tea party! For my photography
folio board for school I am doing a focus around tea and conversations over tea, so it seemed like
a great time to stage a little tea party and get some photos! After a few emergency calls out to friends
to get some extra last minutes models, I have found myself having a lovely afternoon. Mum helped me
prepare food all morning and we got out the family tea set that was a wedding present of my Grandmothers
from 60 years ago! I wanted to do a post just to focus on what I wore, but If anyone is interested in
photos from the afternoon, comment below.
I decided to go for a classic tea party look but modernise it a bit. Girly colours and floral prints are a must,
but I decided to keep things practical for running around snapping photos with a skort.
Skort c/o Persun
Blazer c/o Style Keepers
Top : Glassons
Shoes : Gifted
Tara and I were so excited to receive this Zara Skort look-alike from Persunmall.com. We go through alot
of suffering not having a ZARA store here in NZ! Unfortunately, our volumptiuos Kardashian butts
and long New Zealand legs meant I could only just squeeze into an extra large. woops. Should be more
careful with that online shopping haha!
