I made a thing!
"To live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong"
- Joseph Chilton Pearce
Today I finally get to share the jacket I recently made! This fabric was a complete impulse buy, I saw it and decided that
it was too cozy to not make something with. I thought I would make a warm coat with and when I got home I looked up
some inspiration for style/cut (you can see the collage below I made of these). After I knew what end result I wanted, I
adapted a coat pattern I had used before and then cut and sewed away (finishing surprisingly fast). This coat has been
a perfect outer layer now that winter's officially here. I've really enjoyed cuddling up in it when I've had to brave the cool
winds outside between classes or doing errands.

The thing I love about buying fabric is that you get the see the whole creative process. From the spotting and trying to think of
what to use it for, to the final product and trying to style it. I've always liked making things. They don't always turn out well, but
luckily this time it all worked out. (Sometimes you have to lose the fear of it being all wrong).
