Golden loves...
"Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love"
- Mother Teresa
I never know quite what to write in posts. I read so many great pieces of writing from other bloggers that it kind
of only adds to my ambivalence. Some people write really interesting posts about their lives. Some write creative
and beautiful prose. But I'm not feeling particularly inspired today (I guess we all have those days), luckily I was prepared
in advance and can draw on a previous period of inspiration that resulted in creation of my new skirt.
This skirt I made after being inspired by some fabric my Mum had brought home for on of her projects. I could remember
seeing some cool photos of leather skirts floating around and thought I could try do something like that. It went together
surprisingly easily, and using part of a pattern I have made before meant I was cut and sewing in no time. It isn't actual metallic
leather (instead it's a fabric of the vinyl family) but I think it turned out pretty cool for something going together so quickly (having
cool fabric can have that effect)...
lipstick - Rimmel by Kate Moss #107 (love this so much atm)
glasses - (ahh I dont know :/ random on sale?)
nail polish - OPI liquid sand Honey Ryder
necklace c/o jollychic
ring - Karen Walker
skirt - made by me
top - cotton on
I also managed to find a bottle of the OPI liquid sand in the Honey Ryder colour from the bond girls collection. I was so excited
after deciding not to get it when I first saw it and regretting that decision once I got home. I'm kinda in love with the liquid sand
nail polishes I have. I love that they have a bit of texture to them and they last sooo much longer without chipping (two weeks
compared to my others which sometimes can last only a few days if I've been peeling off barcodes).
I really need to go to bed now. I'm on exam leave so need to start getting stuck into revision tomorrow!
Time to descend into the world of nutrition...
Hope the week ahead brings some great things for y'all!
