Not for the faint hearted, or self conscious....

For a long time I didn't wear lipstick. 

Even after I started getting into makeup, I focused on eyes and you would have been lucky to see some lip stain on me. 

But then one day I decided to try it out and gradually I started building up

 to the point where the last time I went to MAC I bought the two brightest lipsticks I could find in the store!

Firstly there was Neon Orange (a complete impulse buy):

This is a MAC PRO colour in the amplified creme finish and it's certainly accurately named, this lippy is bright!

It applies smoothly and it quite long lasting so that's great if you're having a busy day; minimal touch ups required.

I love this colour because it's something a bit different to the classic red, but is still high impact.

It also looks very similar to my friends Morange (so would be best to pick one if you've seen both)

And then there was Dear Diary:

This one is from the Beth Ditto collection and was the crazy bright pink I was looking for.

This is one of MACs pro-longwear lipcremes and goes on smoothly (but not at all sticky or extra creamy)  and is probably the longest lasting lipstick I own.

Sometimes you can still see hints of its colour even the next day after washing it off!

I love this blue toned neon pink, so you'll probably see it in many posts to come (I'm surprised there hasnt been one already)

So my bright lipstick search is over for now (with very good results dont you think?)

Luckily the shock of wearing bright lipsticks passed me by, otherwise these would be very hard to wear, 

and it's true I've begun to feel a bit naked if i leave home without any lipstick on.
