Lady Hawke to the rescue!
Clothes make a statement. Costumes tell a story.
- Mason Cooley
Although Halloween was a week ago because of exams,
my friends and I had a delayed halloween/guy fawkes party recently.
I orginally had ideas of a zombie or vampire,
but when I got to the store that I was creating my costume from
I decided to go in a different direction.
So I went home and got sewing and ended up with a ridiculously shiny but fun outfit to wear...
I sort of made a Kick Ass/Hit Girl inspired super hero of my own
with holsters, impractical high heels, capes and all.
The name Lady Hawke came out of a joke:
- my old hair cut made people call me
the brunette lady hawke (NZ musician)
- there's already a hawk girl
- my sister wanted me to have an L on my costume
And of course a wig and mask to hide my secret identity, shhh...
And I've gotta say though, I really loved the pink hair,
For makeup I layered a metallic shadow over strategically place white eyeliner,
and then an extreme liquid liner cat eye for some added drama
The night was a lot of fun,
And with a great view across the city we managed to see
a whole lot of fireworks for ideal student price (free ;P)
Did you do anything fun for Guy Fawkes or Halloween?
